On the 18th of June, Avinurme Wooden Handicrafts Centre celebrated it’s first anniversary. A photo exhibition was put together showing the building and developing process and the first year of operation of the Handicrafts Centre.

The manager of the Handicrafts Centre, Eveli Tooming, who spoke on the opening of the exhibition, considered the first year of operation a very successful one. The farthest guest visiting came from Alaska and Australia, but also very many more Estonians have discovered that wonderful little place – Avinurme. “The project – Wooden Handicrafts Centre has started out really good, but we can not consider it finished, not yet,” stated Tooming.
